I mentioned how wonderful my Mother-In-Law is, and here is one of the small reasons why:

She made us a cover for Sewing Machine, Cricut, and Cuttlebug (All at different times of the year). Also my wife is wonderful too because she bought us Stickles from Oriental Trading. You didn’t know they had that stuff? Well, here are the links for the Stickles:

Mother-In-Law’s Birthday Card

I made this card for my Mother-In-Law. Did I mention what a wonderful lady she is?

On the outside of the card:

Front embossed with Happy Birthday A2 Cuttlebug Folder
Sunflower cut from Stretch Your Imagination Cricut Cartridge at 4 1/2 inches, also added a popdots to make it pop off card
Stickles were used to embellish the sunflower and stem

On the inside of the card:

Stampin Up Stamps (Don’t remember the set names, sorry!)
Stampin Up Water Color Pencils to color flower and ladybug

Valentine’s Day Cards

I joined some folks in the 1 hour challeng tonight on the Cricut Message Boards and designed these cards in that hour.

Heart was cut using the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut Cartridge at 3 Inches for both Heart and Shadow Heart. I also used pop dots under the heart to make it pop out.
Background paper with pattern was cut at 5 1/4 X 3 1/2
Inside of card was cut at 5 X 3 1/4 and used Marth Stewart Punch Around Punches
Ribbon was added using the “cheater” method that My Pink Stamper talks about.
Card is normal A2 Size (5 1/2 X 4 1/4)

Here are pictures to show you what to do to get your picture from your PC to Photobucket, and then Cricut.com message boards. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have. ONE OTHER THING TO NOTE: Even though I have always had good luck with ONLINE tools, I recommend you watch out for online links, make sure to watch out for ADS, etc. Do not click on them. You run the risk of getting a virus on your machine. Always make sure your virus scan is up to date.

OK..So I know a lot of folks on the Cricut boards have questions on Pictures, and what software to use for editing/fixing/etc. I decided to put a post here on my blog to help you all out. Picasa, can be used on PC or Mac. The software is free from Google.

I use this software all the time for my images. It’s simple to use, but if you are stuck, watch these videos below. They are very imformative.

I’ll also have a post today on how to get your pictures on the Cricut boards from Picasa.

Luv Bugs Card

I created this card a couple days ago using the Potpourri Basket Cartridge and the Plantin School Book Cartridge.

I also used Stickles for the Bugs Eyes

And, I have a temporary solution for adhesive with pics below:

Instructions: Take normal 8 1/2 X 11 and cut in two to get card. Using the Scor-Pal tool I did a gatefold with the card. On the outside I cut our names in 1 inch size using Plantin Schoolbook. Same size was used for inside lettering.

On the inside, I cut the Cricut heads at 2 inches. The Heart was cut at 4 inches. Voila!

No Adhesive!!!!

I’m out of adhesive with the tape dispenser I use for scraping/card making, so I may not get to make a card this weekend. I need to run out to the craft store and get some temporary adhesive. This is starting to be a big expense and seems like I am running out all the time for adhesive!

So, with that in mind, I will be ordering the ATG 714 Tape Gun and Tape by 3M. I am just trying to find a great price online (without going to EBAY).
